STEP OUT FOR STEP OUT FOR STEP UP

ON MAY 23, 2023!

Join Action for Children staff and 110 volunteers to help engage central Ohio child care professionals in a one-day door-to-door outreach event! During the day, you’ll be visiting child care programs and empowering early childhood educators to beat the Professional Development deadline on June 30th by signing up for trainings! We all know taking care of our smallest community members is a task within itself, this event will help those who are already multitasking get registered and remove one big item off their long to-do list!

What Your Day Will Look Like

Arrive at AFC to be partnered with an AFC staff member/representative, receive supplies, program/agency information, and training.  You will then travel to child care programs that have staff who need to complete training hours.  At the child care programs, you will provide an update on what is needed and offer to get program employees registered for trainings. 

The Task

You will be split into teams of 2-3 and visit child care programs that have staff who need to register & complete training.  You will provide information around opportunities AFC is offering throughout the remaining time period with the goal to register programs for our Professional Development Day in June and/or additional trainings available throughout the required time period.

Step Out for Step Up will cover Franklin County. There are two shifts available to fit your schedule!
