Who We Are

Sanctuary Night is a sacred space created for the women still caught in cycles of prostitution in our westside neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio— Franklinton. Our greatest aim is to instill dignity and respect in the women we meet. They are our mothers and sisters whom we adore. We pride ourselves on being trauma-informed and survivor-led. Right now we are limited to our Monday Night drop-in center, but we will be opening our 24/7 building by the end of 2021.

What We Do

Once a week—every week—we offer women caught in the cycles of prostitution in Franklinton, Ohio, a warm meal, clothing, hygiene items, and a holy place. Trained volunteers open the doors to our drop-in center, prepare plates of food, and, quite simply— sit, talk, and listen. If requested, we connect them with our partners, who steward community resources and support women exiting “the life.” n 2020, with the help of numerous friends and partners, we purchased an old building on Sullivant Avenue. In early 2021, we are remodeling, and by mid-2021, we will be open—every single day. By the end of the year, we will be open 24/7.
