Who We Are
What We Do
SproutFive is a member of the National, the Ohio, and the Columbus Associations for the Education of Young Children, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, the Franklin County Human Service Chamber and the Ohio Association of Child Care Providers. We offer high-quality early education and care for children from 6-weeks to 5 years old. Families can enroll their children in our Birth-3, Early Head Start and Head Start classrooms.
Early Head Start
The earliest years have been shown to be the most important to children's growth and development. In Early Head Start our outstanding teaching staff works to promote healthy development for infants and toddlers (from birth to three years of age) and supports family well-being during the early years.
Head Start Pre-K
Head Start serves children from three to five years old. Our program, in partnership with the YMCA of Central Ohio, focuses on Kindergarten readiness. Our team of qualified teachers help young learners gain the cognitive, social and emotional skills needed to succeed in Kindergarten and beyond.
SproutFive Preschool
Interested in preschool programming, but do not meet the requirements for Head Start? The SproutFive Preschool program ensures that exceptional early childhood educational opportunities are available for all of Columbus’ children and families. Our curriculum provides young learners with the skills needed to be successful in Kindergarten.
Full Bellies, Full Minds & Family Service Center
What is unique about SproutFive is that we offer more than just high-quality early childhood education. We also aim to address weekly nutritional needs, providing students a healthy breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack served family-style every school day through our Full Bellies, Full Minds program. Additionally, families are encouraged to work with our Family Service Center Specialists to make sure the entire family’s basic needs are being met and to ensure families are on a pathway to achieving self-sufficiency and obtaining the skills needed for success.
About Volunteering at SproutFive
At SproutFive we are excited to work with individuals who are interested in giving their time and talent. According to the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, volunteers who have regularly scheduled shifts must complete a background check and have a medical statement completed (for more information, please visit this page of the ODJFS website). This is to ensure the health and safety of our students. While these forms are not required for single time volunteer opportunities, please know if you have a great experience and would like to volunteer again, you will need to work with our Program team to complete the required paperwork.
