Who We Are

FLOW is a grassroot group of volunteers working to protect the Olentangy for future generations. We are composed of 9 volunteer board members and about 2,000 volunteers (in a normal non-pandemic year).

What We Do

FLOW needs volunteers for a wide variety of activities:

  • Removing Invasive plants from stream corridors and restoration projects
  • Planting native tree seedlings
  • Planting native pollinator plants
  • Weeding invasive plants from our pollinator areas
  • Cleaning up litter from stream areas, high quality natural areas and streets with storm sewers
  • Planting Balled and Burlapped Trees at School sites and other restoration areas
  • Staking trees to prevent impacts from mowers
  • Watering newly planted natives
  • Digging up our nursery trees to give to watershed residents
  • Web Updates and Facebook Posts- regarding how to have a light watershed footprint
